Match Spiritual Gifts to Volunteer Opportunities
To achieve the best results with volunteers, it is important to match their God-given spiritual gifts with those needed for the volunteer opportunity. For example, a person that does not have the patience to deal with children may not have an enjoyable experience working in the children's ministry. The church can address these issues by first assessing the individual's spiritual gifts and talents, and then matching them to one or more volunteer opportunities that require those specific skills and talents. This results in a sense of fulfillment for the individual and provides the church with a motivated and happy volunteer.
Fellowship One facilitates the assessment of an individual's spiritual gifts and talents and then matches them to one or more volunteer opportunities.
Fellowship One Giftedness facilitates this process by allowing the church to model their existing spiritual gifts assessment program (e.g., S.H.A.P.E., Network, or Discover Your Design) or to define a custom program. The church can define the categories, attributes and weightings for their spiritual gifts inventory. The church can then define various volunteer job assessment templates that will be used to match the individual to one or more volunteer opportunities.
The church can report upon the opportunities that most closely match a person's spiritual gifts and talents. Alternatively, the church can search the volunteer pool for candidates who best fit the requirements of particular church event or function.
