Finding & Matching Volunteers to Opportunities

Fellowship One volunteer management enables the funneling of church volunteers through a pipeline specifically designed to match people with the volunteer opportunities for which they are qualified. The church defines the volunteer opportunity within Fellowship One and can specify custom requirements (e.g., Driver's License, Carpentry skills, etc.), a background check, and/or reference checks that are required for the opportunity. Fellowship One handles the rest.

Fellowship One enables the funneling of volunteers through a pipeline specifically designed to match people with the volunteer opportunities for which they are qualified.

Using Fellowship One WebLink, the church can list the volunteer opportunities on their website. Someone interested in volunteering can select one or more opportunities and complete the application online, eliminating the need for staff to perform data entry.

Once the application is received, the church’s volunteer coordinator is notified and can contact the volunteer to discuss the opportunities further. Once all requirements have been successfully met, along with a cleared reference and/or background check, the person is moved forward in the pipeline and is ready for assignment.

If an opportunity requires a background check, the volunteer is asked to provide a social security number when completing the online application. Fellowship One securely passes the information to a background check service and records the results on the applicant’s file. Once the volunteer has passed all of the church’s requirements, they can be assigned to the volunteer position within Fellowship One.
